Activity description:
Participants will collaborate with the SaveOCEAN team from Norway and invited specialists to co-create two educational modules dedicated to the Black Sea and the Romanian coastal area, to be developed for the free OceanAcademy educational platform. The activity will include defining the topics, structuring the content, and integrating relevant examples and datasets to support understanding of marine and coastal processes.

The practical component will use Copernicus and EMODnet datasets to investigate a sector of the Romanian Black Sea coast. Participants will analyse and interpret real-world data on the evolution and dynamics of the coastal zone and regional aquatic vegetation, connecting their observations with issues related to sustainability and coastal protection.

Sustainable Development Goals addressed during the activity:

  • SDG 4 – Quality Education
  • SDG 13 – Climate Action
  • SDG 14 – Life Below Water
  • SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals

This event is organized as part of the 4th edition of Sustainability Week.
