The Romanian Society of Applied Geophysics took part in the public event (free access in the open-space area) dedicated to the direct relationship between researchers from various fields and the public of all ages, an initiative promoted by the European Commission. SGAR participation was focused on presenting to the general public information about geophysics and its sphere of concern, including the contribution of geophysicists to our society day life and the importance of geophysicists’ works in meeting the UN-Sustainable Development Goals. We also aimed to encourage young people to pursue STEM courses and motivate them for a career in geosciences.
